new or updated rules are written in black
{ one } respect is important. remember the golden rule- treat others the way you want to be treated. if, for some reason, you want to be treated horribly, then you're obviously a troll, and we ask you nicely to leave.
{ two } obey the staff members. they made this site, and they help keep it running no matter what happens. show them a bit of respect and listen to what they say, okay? they have better things to do than teaching you to follow the rules.
{ three } activity is a must. don't just join and then abandon us- not only is it rude and disrespectful, but it's annoying. you'll only be deleted in the next activity check anyways. make sure you can be active here before you decide to join. if you must leave us for a short while, make sure to post in the absences board, and we'll be sure not to delete you by accident. any wip applications older than ten days will be deleted if we do a site clean up. any applications that had mistakes that were not fixed after ten days will be moved to archives during site cleanups. if you would like a moved application to be moved back, contact a staff member.
{ four } the word count is easy here, so we expect you to follow it. two hundred words per post. that's easy enough, right? we understand, we all have a bad day sometimes, but you should be able to manage that much, at least.
{ five } one account per member is the way we roll. it makes us look cleaner, and doesn't deceive anyone with twenty different accounts belonging to only a few different members. if you make more than one account, you will be punished.
{ six } keep it pg-13 for the sake of our younger members. sure, your dog can have a fight with an enemy, but you don't need entrails flying everywhere. sure, your fox can have kits, but we don't need a porno here. fade to black if you must. this means watch your language, too. no f-bombs every other word. dogs don't need such colorful language. now and then is acceptable, but there is a very fine line between a little and too much. watch it.
{ seven } wait to roleplay until your application has been accepted by staff, in case there's something that needs to be fixed. staff try to look over applications within forty eight hours of them being posted, so you shouldn't have to wait too long.
{ eight } characters should be at least somewhat realistic. sure, we allow powers, and we may let a fancy marking here and their slide, but no rainbow characters, please, or even characters with unnatural colors. as for character personalities, please, try to be realistic- no mary sues or gary stus.
{ nine } images should not stretch the board. we have a maximum of 500x400 for images. any bigger than that, and they'll have our site looking all weird, and you wouldn't want that, would you? if an image is too big, just resize it- it's not hard.
{ ten } remember to post in the name list, power list, and species count threads once your character is accepted! this makes things much easier for staff, and helps us keep track of your character. failure to do so will seriously tick us off. and if someone winds up with the same name as your character? well, if they actually posted a claim, guess who gets to keep it? yep, them, not you, even if you had it first. that's why we have a name list in the first place!
{ eleven } godmodding is seriously frowned upon. your character isn't invincible, nor are they ninja. they will get injured in battle, and they will injure the other character in battle. please ask the other member before killing their character, though.
{ twelve } did you know that reckless adores bunnies? well she does, and she's even got one named sabriel. isn't that an awesome name? make sure to put it in your profile when you've completed it - you'll spot where!
{ thirteen } we expect all posts to be in third person! first person is a valid style of writing, we know that, but it's a bit awkward in roleplaying when one person is typing in third person and someone else is typing in first person. let's keep things consistent, shall we?
{ fourteen } have a problem with our site or another member? let a staff member know instead of venting it in the cbox. we'll be happy to sort things out with you in private- it would just annoy our members if we brought it to the cbox or public boards.
{ fifteen } have fun while you're here! this is a roleplay meant for enjoying yourself. have fun, relax, and make friends. we spent lots of effort putting this place together for your enjoyment. make the most of your time here, and put this place to good use!
