This could open lots of doors for potential allies, enemies, lovers, and the like. He killed his father to become leader of the troop- he believed his sire wasn't a good enough leader, and framed his death on a passing rogue. He killed his mother when she found out about his father's murder. He has difficulty noticing the beauty in life, and will give his life for his troop, despite his somewhat selfish personality. He is bloodthirsty as well, and enjoys battle just a bit more than he should. He would probably be allies with anyone in the troop who approved of his leadership methods- putting foxes who misbehaved 'in their place' using rather violent methods, and being rather strict and vigilant about his troop's safety. Other allies could be foxes who are prejudiced towards foxes with powers, due to Mercury's personal bias against them. He believes foxes with powers to be unpredictable and ignorant, and doesn't fully trust them. Enemies is an easy enough category. Any foxes from the other two troops would be against him, as would those in his troop who don't approve of his leadership methods. Anyone who finds out/knows the truth about his parents' deaths would be the worst kind of enemy, really, and the ones he would be most likely to go after. Pretty much anyone could potentially be his enemy. As for love, Mercury's gay. He likes males. For a romantic partner for him, I'd imagine it to be a more timid fox that would most likely do anything he said, yet still have a mind of his own. (For those of you who've read the Inheritance Cycle, think Carn). I frankly think a romance with Mercury would be cute, especially if it softened him up a little and made him rethink some of his actions... PLOTTING TIME! Hehe, sorry. Alright, anyways, anyone who wants to plot with Mercury, post away! I currently have an open thread for him in the Novelle territory, if anyone wants to join it, or I can always start another one somewhere else. |
